An cluinn sibh sin, a chàirdean? Chan e an ceòl àbhaisteach a th’ann a sin idir, nach e? Sin agaibh deagh charaid do Ghaelcast, Steaphan MacRisnidh, ‘s e a’ seinn òran a rinn a charaid, Scott Coineagan airson farpais ann an Alba. Thug Steaphan tri òrain dhuinn o chionn ghoirid, agus tha sinn toilichte an cur air a’ phrògram!

Do you hear that, friends? It’s not the usual music we have on this program, is it? THat’s a good friend of Gaelcast, Steaphan MacRisnidh singing a song that his friend, Scott Coineagan made for a competition in Scotland. Steaphan gave is three songs a little while ago, and we are happy to put them on the program!

A thuilleadh air a sin, tha sinn gu bhith bruidhinn ri caraid eile, Ruairidh Ramsey, mu dheidhinn eachdraidh inntinneach a theaghlach anns na Stàitean a deas, agus rud a bhiodh caran doirbh ri creidsinn, ‘s dòcha, mu dheidhinn buaidh na Gàidhlig ann an Aimeireaga. Chan eil sinn a’ dol a dh’innse dhuibh de th’ann – feumaidh sibh èisdeachd ris a’ phrògram! Ach seo “hint” dhuibh – Caite am biodh sibh an dùil gun togadh daoine eaglais ann an Aimeireaga airson coithional Gàidhlig?

Besides that, we’ll be speaking with another friend, Rudy Ramsey, about his family’s interesting history in the Southern States, and about something that might be a little difficult to believe about the influence of Gaelic in America. We’re not going to tell you what that is – you’ll have to listen to the program! But here’s a hint – where would you think people would build a church in America for a Gaelic congregation?

Agus, an uair sin, tha sinn a’ bruidhinn ri Somhairle Domhnallach ann an agallamh a rinn sinn aig Beinn Seanar ‘s t-Samhradh. Tha Somhairle na thidsear an dràsda, agus bha sinn a’ bruidhinn air carson a fhuair e e fhèin anns an dreuchd sin, ciamar a bha e a’ dol tro’n t-siostam airson trèanadh a bhith na thidsear, agus dè tha fo-near dha ‘san àm ri teachd. Cluinnidh sibh sin agus tòrr a bharrachd eile ‘sa phrògram seo, agus tha sinn an dòchas gun còrd e ruibh!

Next we talk to Sorley MacDonald in an interview we did at Grandfather Mountain this summer. Sorley is a teacher now, and we spoke about why he chose that profession, and how it was to go through the system to learn how to be a teacher, as well as what his expectations are now. You’ll hear all about that and lots more in this program, and we hope you’ll enjoy it!
