Faodaidh sibh Gaelcast #18 fhaighinn an seo. (Click here to download our eighteenth program.)

Chaidh Liam gu New Orleans agus na h-àiteachan mu’n cuairt o chionn ghoirid, agus chunnaic e ann a sin mar a tha na taighean, na sràidean agus an àrainneachd far an deach Catrìona, an doineann, air tìr an uiridh. Tha sinn a’ bruidhinn air na chunnaic e, carson a tha cùisean cho deireannach ochd mìosan as dèidh na stoirm, agus dè cho fad ‘s a tha dùil gum bi e gus an tèid leasachadh a dhèanamh air an àite air fad. Agus airson rudeigin nas aighearraich, am bi Micheal ag ionnsachadh ciamar a chanas e “Nawlins” gu ceart idir? Chì sibh!

Liam went to New Orleans and the surrounding areas a little while ago, and he saw the houses, streets and the general environment where hurricane Katriona landed last year. We talk about what he saw, why so little has been done eight months after the storm, and how long it’s expected to take before the area gets restored. And, for something lighter, will Micheal ever learn how to say “Nawlins”? You’ll see!

A’ bruidhinn air rudan nas aighearraich, tha sinn as dèidh sin a’ tionndadh air ais gu Alba, far a bheil Ruairidh MacIlleathain agus naidheachd ùr mu dheidhinn Litir do Luchd-Ionnsachaidh. Tha leabhar a-nist air tighinn a-mach le dà cheud (200!) litir agus tha DVD ri fhaotainn cuideachd far a bheil na litrichean agus na faidhlean claisnich. Ciamar a bhios daoine gan cleachdadh? Agus a bheil dà cheud eile gu bhith tighinn a-mach nuair a ruigeas am prògram ceithir ceud (tha e a-nist suas gu barrachd na 350)? Gheibh sibh sin a-mach aig deireadh a’ phrògram.

Speaking of lighter things, we next turn to Scotland, where Ruairidh MacIlleathain and news about Litir do Luchd Ionnsachaidh are. A book has just come out with two hundred letters and a DVD that has the letters and sound files. How do people use the letters? And will we get another 200 when the program reaches the 400 mark? You’ll find out at the end of the program.

Cuideachd, bidh sibh a’ mothachadh gu bheil ceòl ùr againn – bho “Blue Stew”, còmhlan-ciùil “Cajun” à Ventura, Calif., agus “Stone Autumn” à Glaschu. Tha sinn an dòchas gun còrd sin ruibh cuideachd.

You’ll also notice that we have some new music – from “Blue Stew”, a “Cajun” band from Ventura, Calif., and “Stone Autumn” of Glasgow. We hope you like it, too.

One Response to “Prògram 18”

You know what, I’m very much ininelcd to agree.

Something to say?
